These are prefabricated structures in the shape of a net of mesh, constituted by longitudinal and transverse steel cords, superposed and electric welded (brazing) in every point of contact (nodes). The material is produced from VS 60 steel and is mainly used in concrete structures. It is provided in reels or panels and is divided into two categories: standardized mesh and non-standardized mesh. The standardized mesh is 2-2.5m wide, and can be offered in 60m or 120m reels or 3m or 6m panels. The space between the cords forming the mesh can be 10cm, 15cm or 20cm. The non-standardized, or special, mesh are produced with specific characteristics, taking into account the needs of the project.
The main dimensional characteristics and mechanical properties of the product are in accordance with ABNT NBR 7481.
