The Votorantim Group became the Argentinean plant Acerbrag's major shareholder in June 2008, raising its stake to 52.9%.
Founded in Bragado in the early 60’s, for over 40 years the steelmaker produces high quality steel for internal and external markets. Currently, the plant is the second largest long steel producer in Argentina. It's capacity is of 250,000 tons per year of rebars, bars, wires and mesh.
The steel is produced through the modern QTB technological process developed by the Italian steel metallurgical equipment manufacturer Danielli. The products count on the IRAM-INTI norm conformity stamp (Argentina) and the INTN (Paraguay).
