Yesterday evening, Votorantim Siderurgy was granted the INDA (Brazilian Institute of Steel Distributers) Trophy of Social Action referring to the award of the project ‘Música nas Escolas’ (‘Music at Schools’) of Barra Mansa in the Arts Patronage category.
The Award certifies the well-structured social projects developed or supported by companies in the sector, so that they become a milestone and encouragement for new actions.
The awarding dinner was held at Fundação Maria Luisa e Oscar Americano and counted on the participation of honorable representatives of the iron and steel industry from Brazil and other countries. “We were glad to receive this award. This project gathers three significant points to the development of our country: school, youngsters and music”, said Business Officer Paulo Musetti, in the event.
“Investments in these actions are in tune with VS’s purpose to operate as a partnership of the communities in which it carries out its operations, as a support for its development. The company allocates financial and human resources so as to sponsor cultural projects committed in the increase and qualification of youngsters’ access to the various artistic manifestations and experiences”, said Isabela Fernandes, VS’s Communication and Social Responsibility Manager.
