Acerbrag, argentine unit of Votorantim Siderurgia,  expanded its portfolio of products and began to sell profiles-edge protectors  and flat bars to the mechanical construction market.  The estimation for the profiles market in Argentina in 2009, is to reach 205 thousand tons.

When integrated to this market the VS unit aims to be the 2nd largest steel mill of the long steel’s market in the country.

The plant production capacity, located on Bragado, is 250 thousand tons of flat steel yearly and domains 32,7% of the argentine construction market. The steel mill plans to double the production with the addition of the profiles line on the plant.
