The search for the professionalizing courses of basics concepts of Welding, Mechanics of Industrial Maintenance and Material Management and Integrated Logistics, of the social project Future in Our Hands reaches the record of applications this year: almost 1.200. The youths applies themselves to 120 places offered at Barra Mansa e Resende units on Rio de Janeiro. The opening class was on April, 8th and reunites 60 students at Barra Mansa and other 60 students at Resende.
The initiative is the support of Instituto Votorantim to GAIA – Grupo de Aplicação Interdisciplinar à Aprendizagem – in partnership with SENAI of the cities, offers to the youths an opportunity of better qualification to the labor market “About 67% of youths have participated of the project are already employed” says Leonardo Vinci, general manager of DHO. To Leonardo, this number shows the quality of course offered by VS and confirms that local companies approve the qualification system. “This professional qualification is the differential that allows the youth to enter the labor market, what increases the employability on Fluminense´s South”adds.
