The cultural agents of Criando Cultura Produzindo Sonhos (Creating Culture, Producing Dreams) promote one more edition of their Mostra Intinerante (Traveling Display), as a part of the closing activities of the project’s second term. Criando Cultura Produzindo Sonhos is done by the Barra Mansa unit of Votorantim Siderurgia, in partnership with the NPO Amigos da Cultura.

The first exhibition on the Traveling Display will be carried out by the students of Vila Nova and Vila Maria neighborhoods this Saturday, the 22nd, at 7 p.m. at Escola Estadual Iracema Leite Nader, in the Vila Nova neighborhood. In the Traveling Display, the cultural agents of each school carry out presentations which put together, in the same stage, theater, music and dance.

In the following Saturday, the 29th, the Traveling Display will arrive at Centro de Lazer do bairro Saudade, with presentations by the cultural agents from Vista Alegre and Saudade neighborhoods. The event is free of charge and open to the community.

About the project

Criando Cultura Produzindo Sonhos is a partnership between Votorantim Siderurgia and the NPO Amigos da Cultura, which aims at qualifying 100 teenagers from Barra Mansa between the ages of 15 and 18 years to act as agents in social and cultural activities in their communities. Through audiovisual; music and rhythm; drama; dance and movement; and plastic arts workshops, the young will study cultural management and citizen awareness. At the end of each stage, there is a Display called Criando Cultura (Creating Culture), an opportunity for students to present their work.
